Communications --- not to be confused with full membership in
JMB Website Supporters --- provides significant benefits for
Associate Members while helping JMB Communications continue to
offer free distribution of St. Maarten and St. Martin Weekly
News and the St. Maarten Timeshare Owners Email Forum. It also helps JMB Communications continually
update everythingstmaarten.com / everythingstmartin.com.
What's in it for Associate

When you become an Associate Member (for just $25), you get
a free

oval sticker (the kind you see all over the island). |

Second:
You're entitled to advertise up to two St. Maarten or St.
Martin timeshare weeks for sale or for rent per 12-month
membership period on our
SXM condo rental / sale web page, one of the most
popular pages on our site. (By contrast, full members in
JMB Website Supporters can
advertise up to 10 weeks for rent or sale per calendar year,
they can add highlighting to their ads to improve
visibility, and they can advertise weeks elsewhere for sale,
for rent, or wanted, or exchanges wanted, all at no cost per

Third:
As an Associate Member, you may upgrade to full
membership in JMB Website Supporters at a steep
discount at
any time during your 12-month Associate Membership. You just pay the current membership fee for the number of
years you want MINUS $25 (what you paid
for Associate Membership) and you will then get a
full-featured JMB Website Supporters membership for the
number of years purchased starting when
we record your upgrade. |

As an Associate Member, you're helping JMB Communications
continue free distribution of St. Maarten and

The Fine Print: Associate memberships in JMB
Communications are currently
available in one-year increments only and are a flat
$25/year.* JMB Communications associate Memberships do not carry the same
benefits as JMB Website Supporters memberships and will have
no access to the Website Supporters members' "secret" website. The
Associate Membership benefits are as described above.

Although St. Maarten Weekly
News contains frequent references to our members-only secret

donation. Even the smallest gift will help and will be

and enclose a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelope), we'll
mail back a free

oval sticker (the kind you see all over the island). We'll throw in a free Associate Membership in JMB
Communications (described at left), too, for gifts of $25 or
more. Mail your check, payable to JMB Communications, to
Donations, c/o JMB Communications, P. O. Box 1812, Plymouth,
MA 02362-1812. If it's possible for you to mail it in
something OTHER than a #10 envelope, that would help us pick
it out of the sea of mail we expect to receive in connection

Medical Preparations for Travel To St. Maarten / St. MartinPerhaps two years ago, we first mentioned "emergency medical evacuation." This story tells you what "medical evacuation" has to do with you, and why taking care of this before your next trip is so important.
First a brief personal note. In 1996, I contracted "Ciguatera" (which I had never heard of) in the tropics. I won't tell you all the symptoms (you may be having your morning coffee and a bagel), but I lost about 40 lbs in a month. Andy at Baywatch on Orient Beach later told me he saw a guy fall off a stool at a restaurant, overcome by Ciguatera. (Google it). Bottom line, I got better and am fine, but it could have been much worse....
