What are Screensavers?

Screensavers are small computer programs that cycle photos in a specific order on your PC screen when your PC is turned on but not being used. The cycled images can be anything visual -- photos, art, cartoons -- anything.

What are Personal Screensavers?

Personal Screensavers are made using photos you select. JMB creates screensavers for weddings and other family events. If it's legal and if someone else doesn't own a copyright to it, we'll make a screensaver out of it. (We use copyrighted photos only with permission from the copyright owner.)

How does this work?

You gather pictures you want us to use and LIGHTLY mark them on a back corner IN PENCIL with the order in which you want them to appear in the finished screensaver. If you want one used for a title slide, put a T on the back of it also. If there's no special order, just send them and we'll pick the order.

I have digital photography. Can I use digital pictures instead of paper photographs?

Electronic images are even better provided they are at least 600K in size. Please do not email them; send them to us on a CD or floppies, which we'll return. If you have a preference regarding the order in which the images appear, let us know what it is in a note enclosed with your CD (please refer to file names). If you send paper photographs, be sure they are at least 4 x 6 in size (max. is 8 x 10) and in good condition. Glossy images give much better results. Of course, all paper photographs will be returned. (To ensure safety, we will send them by Fedex for an additional $15. at your option.)

How long does it take? What does it cost?

It depends on how many pictures you want in your screensaver. Our Rush Service for weddings posts your wedding screensaver on the web the same day you approve it. Costs vary depending on the number of pictures in your screensaver. Rush service is only $25 above our regular screensaver pricing.

For downloadable screensavers, we create a special passworded web page for your guests. Only those to whom you give the password can log in -- this means privacy for your images is assured.

Wedding Screensaver Packages

The Process (detailed below):

1. You send us images.

2. We create your screensaver and email you a proof.

3. We create the final screensaver based on your input.

4. The screensaver is delivered by email, ground mail, and/or to a passworded location on the Web.

Here are our packages. Wholesale pricing is available to photographers who intend to resell our screensavers.

1. Six-Picture Basic Screensaver: Send a Windows CD or Zip disk with six images (jpgs preferred, 500K average file size) and the title you'd like (if any). We need the full names of the people getting married and the wedding date, plus your email address and your ground mailing address. We'll create a custom screensaver for $60.* You can pay by credit card (American Express, Visa, MC, or Discover) or by PayPal or check. Send digital images to JMB, Dept. "Screen," P. O. Box 1812, Plymouth, MA 02362-1812. If you prefer to send paper photographs instead of digital images, the price for a six-picture screensaver is $80. Photos must be 4 x 6 inches (no slides). SUPPLY YOUR PERSONAL EMAIL ADDRESS; COMPLETED BASIC SCREENSAVERS ARE EMAILED. Zip disks will be returned, so include your ground address. Basic Screensavers are not posted on the Web.

2. 12-Picture Screensaver: Send a Windows CD or Zip disk with 12 images (jpgs preferred, 500K average file size) and the title you'd like (if any). We need the full names of the people getting married and the wedding date. We'll create a custom screensaver for $100.* You can pay by credit card (American Express, Visa, MC, or Discover) or by PayPal or check. Send digital images to JMB, Dept. "Screen," P. O. Box 1812, Plymouth, MA 02362-1812. If you prefer to send photographs instead of digital images, the price for a 12-picture screensaver is $135. Photos must be 4 x 6 inches (no slides). Supply your street address and email address; we email proof screensavers and mail the actual screensaver CD to you. Zip disks will be returned. 12-picture screensavers are posted on the Web at a private passworded site just for you and your guests. The site stays up 6 months from your wedding date. Duplicate CDs are available for your guests at a nominal cost.

3. Screensavers are also available in 24 or 36-image sizes. To determine pricing, 24-image screensavers are double the price of 12-image screensavers, and 36-image screensavers are triple the price of 12-image screensavers.
