Born Collaborators
Kangaroo Court was the first restaurant born of the
collaborative efforts of owners Su and Norm Wathey, whose combined
culinary experience exceeds 30 years. They also recently opened Taloula
Mango's Caribbean Café in the nearby St. Rose Arcade, open for lunch and
dinner every day.
"Kangaroo Court is kind of like the 'Cheers' bar in
Boston, but with coffees, delicious fresh pastry, and casual dining,"
Norm Wathey says. (No, he's not related to the Norm from Cheers.)
"We have many regulars including local attorneys and
business people, and visitors to St. Maarten who return every year. We
try to have something for everyone. That must be why so many people come
back."
